The Best Done-For-You Telehealth Launch Programs, Compared
Disclosure: GrowPro wrote this page. GrowPro is the telehealth launch consultancy arm of Kickstart Social. Everything said about Telehealth Launch Team, Clinic X, Telemed Studios, Patient Acquisition, Tessic Health and Nexus Acquisition comes from their own websites, linked under Sources, and we quote them wherever we can. If anything has changed, email hello@kickstartsocial.co and we will correct it.
A launch program builds your telehealth brand and the business behind it. That is a different purchase from a white-label platform, which rents you software, or an agency, which runs your marketing. Below are the done-for-you launch programs founders ask us about most, compared on the questions that decide whether you end up owning a business or renting one.
Why the platform matters most
The platform is the most complex piece of a telehealth launch. Intake, provider review, pharmacy routing, subscriptions, refills and payments all run through it, and it is the part your patients touch every month. When your launch partner owns the platform, the people who built your brand can also fix, change and extend the system it runs on, with no separate platform company between you and the team doing the work. When the platform is rented from a third party, your launch partner can recommend and configure it, but changes, pricing and support run through another company's contract.
GrowPro builds on WellieMD, which Kickstart Social owns. Like every telehealth platform, WellieMD works with outside partners for clinical care and fulfillment: providers through Beluga Health and licensed partner pharmacies, all listed openly on welliemd.com. What we own is the platform, and the team that does the work.
Who actually controls your launch
Seven questions decide who you can hold accountable after launch. GrowPro's answers are ours. Every other answer is quoted or summarized from that company's own website, and where their site is silent, we say so.

Each program in brief
GrowPro
Best if you want to own and run the business, with no ongoing share of revenue, profit or exit.
Done-for-you build of your own telehealth brand and business, with the team building it WITH you. Builds start at $27,500, one build price plus platform subscriptions. 8 to 12 weeks, set by LegitScript and payment underwriting, not by the software. LegitScript is filed through our Enterprise account and issued to your company.
Telehealth Launch Team
Best if speed to a ready-for-patients date matters most and you want an outside ops team running day-to-day operations for the first months.
Telehealth Launch Team and GrowPro both build a new telehealth brand in the founder's name instead of renting you software. That makes this one of the closer comparisons in the category.
Clinic X
Best if you want intensive 1-1 coaching, a marketing course, and patients seen by their own medical group.
Clinic X and GrowPro both help a founder launch a telehealth brand without being a clinician. Clinic X pairs a buildout with coaching, a marketing course and its own medical group.
Telemed Studios
Best if you want them to run the clinic behind your brand and you are comfortable with marketing tied to a share of revenue after six months.
Telemed Studios and GrowPro both launch telehealth brands for founders without a medical license. Telemed Studios runs the clinic behind your brand on its own infrastructure, in tiers.
Patient Acquisition
Best if you want a consultant to design the business, shortlist white-label platforms for you, and stay on as a performance partner.
Patient Acquisition sells the Telehealth Launch Blueprint, which its own page calls a consulting package, alongside a separate fractional CMO marketing service. GrowPro builds the brand and business with you on a platform Kickstart Social owns.
Tessic Health
Best if you already have a brand and a marketing team and want the fastest path to a live clinic on a platform with published pricing.
Tessic Health and GrowPro both launch telehealth brands on a platform the provider owns. The difference is everything in front of the platform.
Nexus Acquisition
Best if a written patient-count guarantee matters most to you and you are comfortable with them choosing a third-party platform and pharmacy.
Nexus Acquisition, which runs its site at nexushealthlaunch.com, and GrowPro both build a founder's own telehealth brand. The difference is what the brand runs on and how long the marketing lasts.
Not looking for a launch program?
If you only want the software and plan to build the rest yourself, compare platforms in our WellieMD platform comparisons. If your brand is already live and you need someone to run marketing, see telehealth marketing agencies compared.
Owner-operator vs platform reseller: why it matters
There are two ways to sell a telehealth launch. An owner-operator owns the platform your brand runs on and employs the people who design, build and run it. A platform reseller sells a launch built on another company's platform and coordinates the partners who do parts of the work. Both models can work, and both rely on licensed pharmacies and provider groups somewhere, including ours. The difference is who you can hold accountable when something breaks, and who controls the system your patients use every day.
Ask any launch provider, including us:
- Who is my contract with? GrowPro: Kickstart Social, the same company that owns WellieMD.
- Who can change my pricing? GrowPro: your platform subscription is listed on your proposal, and you set your own patient pricing.
- What happens to my patients if you switch platforms? GrowPro: we do not switch you. WellieMD is ours, and your website and merchant account stay in your name either way.
- Do you get paid by the platform you recommend? GrowPro: yes, and we say so. WellieMD is ours, and you pay its subscription directly. We take nothing from your revenue, profit or exit.
Questions to ask any launch program, including us
| Ask | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| LegitScript filed vs. actually approved | Everyone files. Ask how many of their brands were approved. GrowPro: 100% of ours, to date.* |
| Your site still exists if you leave | Ask whether the website lives on your hosting or theirs. A GrowPro site sits on your own hosting account, and you hold the files. |
| No checkout routed through a parent domain | Check the address bar on their live client brands. GrowPro checkouts run on your domain and your merchant account. |
| Whose name is on the certification | GrowPro files through our LegitScript Enterprise account, and the certification is issued to your company. |
*LegitScript approval reflects our track record to date and is not a guarantee of approval. LegitScript sets its own review standards and timeline.
Frequently asked questions
What is a done-for-you telehealth launch program?
A team builds your telehealth brand and the business behind it: brand, website, provider and pharmacy network, payments and compliance, then hands you a company you own. It is different from a white-label platform, which rents you the software and leaves the building to you.
Which telehealth launch programs take a share of profit or exit?
On their own sites, Telehealth Launch Team's optional partnership is the greater of a monthly fee or 10% of profit, plus 10% of an exit. Telemed Studios bills marketing as a flat fee or a percentage of revenue, whichever is greater. Patient Acquisition says it earns through revenue share without publishing terms. Clinic X states no share. GrowPro takes 0% of revenue, profit and exit.
Why does it matter who owns the telehealth platform?
The platform runs intake, provider review, pharmacy routing, subscriptions, refills and payments. If your launch partner owns it, the team that built your brand can fix and change it directly. If it is rented from a third party, changes and pricing run through another company's contract. GrowPro builds on WellieMD, which Kickstart Social owns.
How long does it take to launch a telehealth brand?
Stated timelines in this group run from 21 days to 90 days, and they measure different finish lines. A portal can go live quickly. Running paid ads and keeping the money waits on LegitScript certification and payment underwriting, which is why GrowPro quotes 8 to 12 weeks.
Should I compare launch programs or platforms?
If you want someone to build the brand and business with you, compare launch programs here. If you only want software and plan to build everything yourself, compare platforms instead, such as in our WellieMD platform comparisons.
