GrowPro vs Patient Acquisition: Comparing the Telehealth Launch
Disclosure: GrowPro wrote this page. GrowPro is the telehealth launch consultancy arm of Kickstart Social. Everything said about Patient Acquisition comes from their own websites, linked under Sources, and we quote them wherever we can. If anything has changed, email hello@kickstartsocial.co and we will correct it.
Patient Acquisition sells the Telehealth Launch Blueprint, which its own page calls a consulting package, alongside a separate fractional CMO marketing service. GrowPro builds the brand and business with you on a platform Kickstart Social owns. This page compares the launch and who owns what. For the platform side, see our WellieMD vs Patient Acquisition comparison.
Why the platform matters most
The platform is the most complex piece of a telehealth launch. Intake, provider review, pharmacy routing, subscriptions, refills and payments all run through it, and it is the part your patients touch every month. When your launch partner owns the platform, the people who built your brand can also fix, change and extend the system it runs on, with no separate platform company between you and the team doing the work. When the platform is rented from a third party, your launch partner can recommend and configure it, but changes, pricing and support run through another company's contract.
GrowPro builds on WellieMD, which Kickstart Social owns. Like every telehealth platform, WellieMD works with outside partners for clinical care and fulfillment: providers through Beluga Health and licensed partner pharmacies, all listed openly on welliemd.com. What we own is the platform, and the team that does the work.
Who actually controls your launch
Seven questions decide who you can hold accountable after launch. GrowPro's answers are ours. Every other answer is quoted or summarized from that company's own website, and where their site is silent, we say so.
| GrowPro | Patient Acquisition | |
|---|---|---|
| Who owns the telehealth platform your brand runs on? | WellieMD, our own platform, owned by Kickstart Social. No third-party platform layer. | A third-party "white-label platform," chosen from "3 vetted options" and paid separately each monthsource |
| Who builds your website, and who owns it if you leave? | Our in-house web team builds it on your own hosting account. You keep it if you leave. | They build a custom website (7-14 days); ownership and hosting after exit not stated in textsource |
| Who files LegitScript, and whose name is on it? | Filed through our LegitScript Enterprise account and issued to your company. | They provide LegitScript approval support; filer and certificate holder not statedsource |
| Whose team does the design, build and QA? | Our own in-house design, web and QA teams. | Not disclosed on their site |
| Who runs your ads and creative after launch? | Your choice: your own team, or Kickstart Social's in-house ad team, sold separately. | Not included in the program; you run ads yourself or hire them for done-for-you marketingsource |
| Do they earn a percentage of your revenue or exit? | No. 0% of revenue, profit or exit. | Says it earns via revenue share; percentage and terms not statedsource |
| Who decides which platform or pharmacy you are routed to? | WellieMD routes by medication and state. Clinical care through Beluga Health; prescriptions filled by licensed partner pharmacies listed on welliemd.com. | They shortlist 3 white-label platforms; physicians and pharmacies come from their network, none namedsource |
"Not disclosed on their site" means we could not find it on that company's website on October 21, 2026. It may be in their contract, so ask.
The short answer
Choose Patient Acquisition if you want a consultant to design the business, shortlist white-label platforms for you, and stay on as a performance partner.
Choose GrowPro if you want one team that owns the platform and does the build, with 0% of revenue, profit or exit going to anyone else.

Where Patient Acquisition is strong
- They publish the program price and itemize the separate costs on the same page: platform fees, CRM, the LegitScript fee and ad spend.
- Component timings are stated plainly: website in 7 to 14 days, LegitScript in 7 to 14 days expedited.
- They say clearly that paid ads are not included in the program, so nobody is surprised later.
- The program screens for capital up front and says it is for new founders, not established brands.
Where GrowPro is different
Whose platform
Their page says you choose from "3 vetted options" of white-label platforms and pay that platform separately each month. With GrowPro the platform is WellieMD, which Kickstart Social owns, so the team that builds your brand also runs the system it sits on.
How they are paid over time
Their page says "I'm directly invested in your success through revenue share" but does not publish the percentage or terms. GrowPro takes 0% of revenue, profit and exit. Ask any partner for revenue-share terms in writing before you sign.
LegitScript
Their page lists "LegitScript approval support" and a separate LegitScript fee. GrowPro files through our LegitScript Enterprise account, and the certification is issued to your company.
Owner-operator vs platform reseller: why it matters
There are two ways to sell a telehealth launch. An owner-operator owns the platform your brand runs on and employs the people who design, build and run it. A platform reseller sells a launch built on another company's platform and coordinates the partners who do parts of the work. Both models can work, and both rely on licensed pharmacies and provider groups somewhere, including ours. The difference is who you can hold accountable when something breaks, and who controls the system your patients use every day.
Ask any launch provider, including us:
- Who is my contract with? GrowPro: Kickstart Social, the same company that owns WellieMD.
- Who can change my pricing? GrowPro: your platform subscription is listed on your proposal, and you set your own patient pricing.
- What happens to my patients if you switch platforms? GrowPro: we do not switch you. WellieMD is ours, and your website and merchant account stay in your name either way.
- Do you get paid by the platform you recommend? GrowPro: yes, and we say so. WellieMD is ours, and you pay its subscription directly. We take nothing from your revenue, profit or exit.
Questions to ask any launch program, including us
| Ask | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| LegitScript filed vs. actually approved | Everyone files. Ask how many of their brands were approved. GrowPro: 100% of ours, to date.* |
| Your site still exists if you leave | Ask whether the website lives on your hosting or theirs. A GrowPro site sits on your own hosting account, and you hold the files. |
| No checkout routed through a parent domain | Check the address bar on their live client brands. GrowPro checkouts run on your domain and your merchant account. |
| Whose name is on the certification | GrowPro files through our LegitScript Enterprise account, and the certification is issued to your company. |
*LegitScript approval reflects our track record to date and is not a guarantee of approval. LegitScript sets its own review standards and timeline.
