GrowPro vs Telemed Studios: Comparing the Launch Service
Disclosure: GrowPro wrote this page. GrowPro is the telehealth launch consultancy arm of Kickstart Social. Everything said about Telemed Studios comes from their own websites, linked under Sources, and we quote them wherever we can. If anything has changed, email hello@kickstartsocial.co and we will correct it.
Telemed Studios and GrowPro both launch telehealth brands for founders without a medical license. Telemed Studios runs the clinic behind your brand on its own infrastructure, in tiers. GrowPro builds your business with you on WellieMD and hands you the keys. This page compares the launch service. For the platform side, see our WellieMD vs Telemed Studios comparison.
Why the platform matters most
The platform is the most complex piece of a telehealth launch. Intake, provider review, pharmacy routing, subscriptions, refills and payments all run through it, and it is the part your patients touch every month. When your launch partner owns the platform, the people who built your brand can also fix, change and extend the system it runs on, with no separate platform company between you and the team doing the work. When the platform is rented from a third party, your launch partner can recommend and configure it, but changes, pricing and support run through another company's contract.
GrowPro builds on WellieMD, which Kickstart Social owns. Like every telehealth platform, WellieMD works with outside partners for clinical care and fulfillment: providers through Beluga Health and licensed partner pharmacies, all listed openly on welliemd.com. What we own is the platform, and the team that does the work.
Who actually controls your launch
Seven questions decide who you can hold accountable after launch. GrowPro's answers are ours. Every other answer is quoted or summarized from that company's own website, and where their site is silent, we say so.
| GrowPro | Telemed Studios | |
|---|---|---|
| Who owns the telehealth platform your brand runs on? | WellieMD, our own platform, owned by Kickstart Social. No third-party platform layer. | Not disclosed on their site |
| Who builds your website, and who owns it if you leave? | Our in-house web team builds it on your own hosting account. You keep it if you leave. | Website build is done for the founder on the Launch tier; site ownership and hosting not stated.source |
| Who files LegitScript, and whose name is on it? | Filed through our LegitScript Enterprise account and issued to your company. | LegitScript certification listed in the Launch tier; filer and certificate holder not stated.source |
| Whose team does the design, build and QA? | Our own in-house design, web and QA teams. | Landing pages, offers, creative and tracking built and tested by their team.source |
| Who runs your ads and creative after launch? | Your choice: your own team, or Kickstart Social's in-house ad team, sold separately. | Ad management is an add-on on Start and Launch; included for 6 months on Scale.source |
| Do they earn a percentage of your revenue or exit? | No. 0% of revenue, profit or exit. | After 6 months: flat fee or a percentage of revenue they generate, whichever is greater; percent not stated.source |
| Who decides which platform or pharmacy you are routed to? | WellieMD routes by medication and state. Clinical care through Beluga Health; prescriptions filled by licensed partner pharmacies listed on welliemd.com. | Fulfillment runs across their partner pharmacy network; no pharmacies or provider groups named.source |
"Not disclosed on their site" means we could not find it on that company's website on October 21, 2026. It may be in their contract, so ask.
The short answer
Choose Telemed Studios if you want them to run the clinic behind your brand and you are comfortable with marketing tied to a share of revenue after six months.
Choose GrowPro if you want to own and run the operation, with 0% of revenue, profit or exit going to anyone else.

Quotes are from each company's own website. GrowPro's column describes our own offer.
Where Telemed Studios is strong
- A clear three-tier ladder on their pricing page, so a founder can start with infrastructure only.
- Every plan includes providers in all 50 states, a partner pharmacy network, a branded patient portal and an MSO and friendly-PC structure.
- The platform fee is month to month with no long-term contract, and they state patients, records and data leave with you if you cancel.
- The Launch tier includes a full website build done for them.
Where GrowPro is different
Who runs the clinic
Their own tagline is "You bring the brand, we run the clinic." GrowPro builds the brand and the operation with you, so the clinic runs on your accounts and your team.
How marketing is paid
On their Scale Partnership, after the first six months marketing continues "on a flat fee or a percentage of the revenue we generate, whichever is greater." GrowPro takes no share of your revenue, profit or exit. Marketing is sold separately and is never priced as a share of your revenue.
Which timeline is real
Their homepage says launch in 30 days guaranteed, and their /apply FAQ says 4 to 6 weeks. GrowPro quotes 8 to 12 weeks, because LegitScript and payment underwriting set the date you can run ads and keep the money.
Owner-operator vs platform reseller: why it matters
There are two ways to sell a telehealth launch. An owner-operator owns the platform your brand runs on and employs the people who design, build and run it. A platform reseller sells a launch built on another company's platform and coordinates the partners who do parts of the work. Both models can work, and both rely on licensed pharmacies and provider groups somewhere, including ours. The difference is who you can hold accountable when something breaks, and who controls the system your patients use every day.
Ask any launch provider, including us:
- Who is my contract with? GrowPro: Kickstart Social, the same company that owns WellieMD.
- Who can change my pricing? GrowPro: your platform subscription is listed on your proposal, and you set your own patient pricing.
- What happens to my patients if you switch platforms? GrowPro: we do not switch you. WellieMD is ours, and your website and merchant account stay in your name either way.
- Do you get paid by the platform you recommend? GrowPro: yes, and we say so. WellieMD is ours, and you pay its subscription directly. We take nothing from your revenue, profit or exit.
Questions to ask any launch program, including us
| Ask | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| LegitScript filed vs. actually approved | Everyone files. Ask how many of their brands were approved. GrowPro: 100% of ours, to date.* |
| Your site still exists if you leave | Ask whether the website lives on your hosting or theirs. A GrowPro site sits on your own hosting account, and you hold the files. |
| No checkout routed through a parent domain | Check the address bar on their live client brands. GrowPro checkouts run on your domain and your merchant account. |
| Whose name is on the certification | GrowPro files through our LegitScript Enterprise account, and the certification is issued to your company. |
*LegitScript approval reflects our track record to date and is not a guarantee of approval. LegitScript sets its own review standards and timeline.

Frequently asked questions
Is Telemed Studios done-for-you?
Their pricing page calls the Scale Partnership "Fully done-for-you + growth." Their /apply page describes a Clinic Accelerator Program as "a done-with-you buildout program" and says it is not a hands-off service. Ask which program your quote is for.
How does Telemed Studios charge for marketing?
Their pricing page says marketing is billed as a flat fee or a percentage of the revenue they generate, whichever is greater. GrowPro takes 0% of revenue, profit and exit, and marketing is sold separately, never as a share of your revenue.
Does Telemed Studios publish prices?
No dollar prices appear on their site. Their pricing page says pricing is customized based on the plan you choose, and that setup fees can be financed through independent partners. GrowPro publishes its starting build price in the side-by-side table above.
Can I leave Telemed Studios with my patients?
Their pricing page says you can cancel any time and your patients, records and data leave with you. With GrowPro your website sits on your own hosting and your merchant account is in your name, so there is nothing to move.
